I am the author of five books – two young adult thrillers and three festive mysteries. I like to write stories full of suspense and desperate, devious characters.

My first thriller, The Girl Who… was shortlisted for the Crimefest Best Crime Novel for Young Adults and longlisted for the Branford Boase Award. My second festive mystery, Murder at the Christmas Emporium, was shortlisted for the CWA Whodunit Dagger Award. There are more details on my books here.

A selection of Andreina Cordani books The Twelve Days of Murder, The Girl Who, Dead Lucky, Murder at the Christmas Emporium, A Scrooge Mystery and Unbound. US and Italian covers for some titles are also shown. In the centre the text says Murder. Mystery. Hauntings.

I love reading and writing about folklore, legends, dinosaurs, the weird things animals do and the even weirder things human beings do. If you like that kind of content, or if you want to hear more about my books and writing, please do sign up to my newsletter! You’ll get a free short story, Mrs Cratchit’s Christmas Spirit, plus occasional other freebies, and I promise not to spam you.

Photo of Andreina Cordani a white woman with long fair hair wearing a Victorian top hat and holding a hardback copy of A Scrooge Mystery. She looks very pleased about it. She is not so pleased about the slight double chin but unfortunately that's life.

Five random facts about me…

1: I was once almost killed by a false moustache.

2: I’m allergic to pretty much everything that floats in the air and have a sneeze so loud I once stopped everyone in their tracks at Milan airport.

3: There’s a guitar hanging on my wall that I haven’t played in more than ten years. I still tell people I’m learning guitar.

4: I’m half Italian – hence the name – and my favourite food is home made ravioli in broth and home made tortellini.

5: I have an extremely high-energy dog, a sprollie called Molly whose greatest goal in life is to make give up writing so I can throw tennis balls full-time.
