Behind The Scenes…
My first book came out in lockdown. Debut novels are always a stressful rollercoaster and the pandemic made everything even worse. Luckily I had this brilliant community of fellow debut novelists around me. The D20s, as we called ourselves, were brought together by the weird situation we found ourselves in. And when Philippa East suggested working on a collection of short stories I didn’t hesitate to say yes. My contribution is a story about a little girl ghost. As Joey from Friends says, little girl ghosts are the creepiest.
“I wipe away the footprint, telling myself there’s a rational explanation. But I can’t think of one, because I know there is someone else in this house with me.
Tiny hands
Someone with little feet.”
